How to Set a Personal Schedule During Lockdown

How to Set a Personal Schedule During Lockdown

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and with the ongoing regulations we all have had a hard time getting used to our new schedules. During these times, it is more important than ever to find expert aid to help us keep our personal and professional schedules on point at all times.

The pandemic has made self quarantine and working from home the new normal. Some of our daily activities like waking up early for outdoor activities, commuting for work, getting the children ready for school, working in a corporate environment are on hold. Therefore in these trying times, it is important to bring in a sense of purpose and sanity by creating a daily routine for yourself and your family. As working from a personal space has becomed more common and has eventually helped us with the stress, it also has made us more cozy around our work schedules. All the responsibilities that we need to take care of while staying at home, plus those from our jobs can make it difficult to manage both in an effective way.

“It is not enough to be busy…The question is: what are we busy about?”

Create a Time-wise Schedule.

Stay on track by fixing your sleeping time, waking up time and all your meal times.  Try to stick to your routine as much as possible. Make it a point to take care of your health by following a healthy and balanced diet and keeping track of your sleep cycles.

Prioritize your daily exercise.

Since we don’t have to travel to work anymore at least in the following months we have been blessed with quite a lot of free time, that instead of wasting it procrastinating, we should invest into adopting new or improved fitness and wellness habits.

Both you and your family need to be physically active even if you stay in a compact home. This will allow you to surround yourself with positive vibes and to make it easier to stay quarantined with others, as it can get challenging sometimes. Set plannings to workout with your friends via Zoom or join online and virtual sessions from the comfort of your home.

Don’t stick to just comfy clothing.

Get into the feeling that you are dressing up for the day. Stay away from the comfy clothes as they can eventually leave you feeling lethargic and demotivated.

Set your work from home hours.

Try to keep your WFH timings similar to your conventional office timings. This will help you to work in a disciplined and efficient way, avoid distractions and feel normal even when you are housebound.

Spend Quality Family Time.

This is the best time to slow down from the fast-paced life of the real world and spend some quality time with the loved ones. Reach out to your loved ones through video calls to give them strength and assurance to cope with these times of uncertainty, engage in games and even try to have creative sessions together.
